WOW! its already Labor Day weekend, where did summer go?
Just a quick update here...Not much new going on in the Widmer household. Colton has fully recovered from his surgery and we have started to get our first of the many medical bills from that, boy how they charge for every little thing at the hospital! The surgery did not effect his potty training like I had feared it might, so that is good. He is still doing great with that, and I am so prod of my big boy to be potty trained at 2! Even the urologist said how early that is, especially for boys!
Carson's work just got a big job out in Sisters, which means they will have work threw the winter and hopefully the people like what they do and will just roll them over into the 33,000sf home, yes that is huge!!! but right now they are building the 8,000sf guest house. He decided to put school on hold for now, maybe he will go back next year.
I am still at the daycare a few days a week and baby sitting here and there, but its all working out good for us. We sold Carson's truck and paid cash for a new smaller one for him, its great not having a truck payment for once!
We hope you are all doing great, enjoy whats left of your summer!!!

Happy 50th MOM!

Over the weekend we celebrated my moms 50th birthday by giving her a huge surprise birthday party. She sure was shocked to walk into our house and see 30 of her friends and family standing there to greet her, the party went perfect, we had great food, drinks, company, and weather!
Thank you all who helped me make this day very special for my mom, she surely deserved it after the year she has had!

Here are some more lake pictures

Fish On

last weekend we went up to East Lake to get away for the day and take Colton fishing. It is so beautiful up there, and the weather was great. We did a little fishing, Pappa Widmer helped Colton catch a fish on his Cars Fishing pole that he had gotten last year for his birthday. Colton was so excited to reel it in, however once the fish got close enough to where he could see it, he didn't think that was to neat, he freaked out, dropped the fishing pole and ran to me. He wanted NOTHING to do with the fish, so needless to say i got a picture with Pappa and Colton's first fish and not Colton. but we still had a wonderful time, took the boat to the other side of the lake, played in the water, flew the kite and took a nap. We sure do love living in the beautiful Central Oregon.

Bounce Time

we love bouncing off the walls here in Bend. It is the best place to the your child run wild and go crazy! even us adults have a good time!!! Colton just loves this place.

A new chapter

Lots of changes going on in the Widmer household! If you are around town and have driven by our house, I am sure that you have noticed the big yellow FOR SALE sign in the yard, yes, we are going to try sell our house. If we can sell it, we will just be renting a house for the next few years and wait for the economy to get better. We are sure we will be able to find something bigger and better and for much cheaper when we do go to buy. We also don't know where we will be living in the next 3-4 years, as Carson has decided to go back to school to get his EMT/Paramedic. He took a placement test yesterday and meets with an adviser tomorrow to see what he needs to get done and what classes to take. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that this all works out, and we are able to qualify for student aid or Grants of some sort. Its going to be a long hard road ahead, but in the end it will be worth it. We also just finally got a new laptop, I am SO excited about this. The computer we have now is a dinosaur!
We hope everyone is having a great summer, enjoy it now because i am sure it will be gone before we know it!

beach trip

Last weekend we headed over to Lincoln City for a quick get away. Carson and I went over Friday night, and got to have a little alone time and go to a nice dinner, kid free! Carson's parents met us over the next morning with Colton. We had a nice fun filled weekend trip. The weather was nice other than the wind. We spent most of the day on Saturday playing on the beach, we had a BBQ, and even roasted marshmellows and made Smores. however, due to the wind we did that on the actual BBQ rather than building a bond fire. We also got to see Carson's grandmother and great grandmother. Colton had a nice time visiting with them. Sunday, we headed over to Newport to the aquarium and to a light house, then to Depo Bay where we got to see a whale, that was pretty neat.
We had a wonderful family weekend and had a nice time seeing all Carson's family. We hope to make it back over there maybe this fall to do a crabbing trip?!
