More birthday pictures!

Happy 3rd Birthday Colton John!

My "baby" turned 3 on March 23rd, its hard for me to believe he is already 3, where did the past 3 years go, and why did they go so fast?! I guess you never understand when someone tells you "they grow so fast" what that means until you have a child of your own and you then realize they do indeed grow "so fast".
Colton had a good start to his 3rd birthday but it didnt end so well, after picking him up from daycare, we headed over to the store did a bit of shopping, and when we were leaving the parking lot, a lady backed right into my car. nothing big, just need to get a new bumper. got home and he started screaming his stomach hurt, it took me a good few minutes to try to calm him down, next thing i know, he is puking everywhere, all over me, so i handed him off to dad so i could clean up, and seconds later in is puking all over carson too. he continued to cry for a while, and kept telling us his stomach hurt, we called the doctor just to be on the safe side, they were pretty worried since he did not have a fever or any other symptoms and that it had come on all of a sudden so they wanted us to come right in....off to the peds office we went at 6pm at night.... they ran some test, had him pee in a cup and determined they had no clue what was wrong, told us to go home, get him to try to sleep and if it continued to call them and we would go from there. on our way home, the puking started again, and that is pretty much how the rest of his birthday night went, throwing up. i felt so bad for him. Luckily, he was feeling much better by the next afternoon and we celebrated his birthday the next day with dinner with nanni and pappa and uncle Thomas and Red Robins. Unfortunately, that night was moms turn to get sick, and today is Carson's turn, and it just so happens to be his birthday today. :( not a good week in the Widmer household. Hopefully we will all be back to normal by next week.
We did however, get to celebrate Coltons birthday with his friends at Pappy Pizza last weekend. he had a Buzz light year brithday party. The kids all had a great time playing and eating pizza. Thank you to those of you who made it to his party!

she works hard for her money....

Lots of changes happening in the Widmer household. I got a job offer for an attorney's office that was part time, i had my first day last week....it was horrible! the guy was a jerk, I lasted one day, and quit! Then I was offered a job at a hair salon as well, but i turned it down for the job i am not working at. My dad and brother in law Matt hooked me up with a job at HSW Builders, doing part time administrative work. I am only working part time, my hours are all week 8-1. it works out perfect, so I can still have the afternoons to play with Colton, and also still care for Dominkick, the little boy i have been watching at night. Colton will be going to our friends Valerie and Jayson's house during the day, its great b/c they have 3 kids, 2 of which are Coltons age so he will have lots of fun playing with Ella and Clayton.

Carson has gone back to work finally, hopefully it will be for more than a couple of weeks, but it sounds like they will be going down to CA to work for a month or so... I was hoping to go down and spend some time with family, but now that i am working, i do not think that will be happening.

We got an offer on our house a couple of weeks ago, so now it will just be a waiting game, we have to wait on the bank to decide if they will except it or not ,IF they do, we have a closing day of June 10th. I am very sad to leave, i love our house, and our yard, but I know that it is what is going to be best for us.

Sunday we are celebrating Coltons 3rd birthday! its a Buzz Lightyear party. I will post pictures next week after the party.

Colton went on his first trip out to the woods with daddy and papa to go shooting, he had such a great time. He geared up in his camo clothes and told me he was going hunting and was going to kill a big elk. :) (sorry, lil man, its not hunting season) he was stoked! Carson said he did great shooting and even hit a target too. On the way home, Papa let colton help him drive down some of the dirt roads, he loves to help drive. :) he is getting so big. Carson can not wait until fall when its elk season to take Colton up to Elk Camp and take him hunting for real.

lots of birthday fun

Our sweet niece Bella turned ONE this past weekend. we can not believe how fast the past year has gone. Tanna and Matt had her birthday party over at our house, that way there was plenty of room for the kids to run and play in the back yard. They had so much fun playing in her new cool tent she got. The best part of the party was watching her eat her cake. Tanna normally does not give her sweets, so she didnt know what to do when they placed her birthday cake on her highchair... after a while of playing in the frosting and pretending to wash her hands in it, she finally got a taste of it in her mouth and figured out how good birthday cake was! she was covered from head to toe in pink frosting and chocolate cake! Good thing Uncle Carson had a nice warm bath waiting for her.

toes in the sand...

we just got home from a nice long weekend in Pacific City, boy how i LOVE to go to the beach when the weather is nice, and it was just perfect for us while we were there. There was not a cloud in the sky, the temp was perfect for this time of year and it was overall a fantastic weekend. We headed over to the coast to celebrate my grandfathers 75th birthday and my cousin Melinda's 33rd birthday. we had such a nice time visiting with all the family; playing lots of games, eating lots of food, playing in the sand, and letting the kiddos run wild!

Not to much new to update on here in our house... we still have our house on the market, we had one guy who was going to make an offer but backed out, we have had several people look but no takers just yet... hopefully, something will happen before to long. Carson is still without a job, we are hoping something will come up for him here before to long, but i know that Colton loves having his daddy home all day to play with him, and it gives mommy a break so its nice to have him around. Colton is doing good, cant believe he will be 3 in just one month, makes me so sad to think my baby is not a baby anymore. good thing he still lets his mommy snuggle up with him, otherwise, I am not sure what i would do. :) Colton has been dealing with some bowel issues since birth, and we have been talking to the doctor about that since I can remember, well finally it has gotten to the point where something needed to happen, so i took him to see another doctor and he seems to think that his intestines are stretched out and he has nerve damage, so we are on a 6 month plan to get things back to work down there. He has to have an apt. scheduled for a GI doctor up in Portland at OHSU, we will update more on that once we have a date, probably in a couple of months. Other than that he is doing wonderful, and he amazes me everyday how smart he is.

Sorry it has been so long since my last blog... a little busy around here these days.
A few new things to "blog" about here.... Carson is not working at the time... first time in 10 years he has been unemployed. They just do not have any work, and unfortunately, he does not qualify for unemployment, so hopefully something will happen here before to long. I think right now, he is enjoying a little time off work, but I am sure by next week he will be going crazy sitting at home. I told him he is not allowed to tell me he is bored because I would put him to work! I am still baby sitting, I have a 7 year old boy, Dominick that I watch about 4 nights a week, its going alright.. Colton and him fight like brothers ;) but it is nice to have someone who will always play with Colton.
We FINALLY were approved by our bank to modify our mortgage (only after about 7 months of working with them), could not believe it when the FedEx guy brought us the paper work, I guess there is only about 200 per state that have been approved.... however, after lots of thinking and praying, we have decided that we will be selling our house and getting out of it while we can. It would take about 10 years to make up what we owe and make some money on it, so we think that is our best option at the time, and especially with Carson not working right now. I am very sad about this, I will miss our home, but we will buy in 3 year or so.
Colton is doing good he is going to be 3 at the end of March, we are already talking about what he wants to do for his birthday party this year. Every time we go to the store we must go down the toy isle and he tells me what he wants for his birthday.
We have had such a mild winter this year, but over the weekend it snowed a bit and Carson and Colton went out to make a snowman, they had tons of fun.
We will be heading over to Pacific City next month to celebrate a couple of birthdays, can not wait to see our family, it will be great to have everyone together to celebrate. I hope that the weather is nice so we can go down to the beach for a while.
