6 weeks old
Addy is now 6 weeks old, we had her 6 week check up this week and she is growing like a weed. she is now up to 10lb 14oz (in the 75% for weight) and 23 1/2'' (off the charts 100% for length) the doctor said she looked great. She is more alert during the day and loves to watch her crazy big brother who is always running wild around the house. She is sleeping well at night, gets up only once on most nights and sometimes it's not until 4am, i am loving that, and Carson and i both hope that it stays that way with her.
Colton is doing good loving being a big brother and is such a good helper, just cant get him to change a diaper just yet. :)
We have not been up to much other than enjoying summer, hard to believe its almost over, it seems like it just arrived. Carson's family will be having a family reunion next week, it will be nice to see everyone and introduce Addison to his aunts and uncles. His aunt also just had a baby about 1 week after Addy was born so it will be fun to get the girls together to compare sizes and also get some pictures. On sunday, we are going to go up one of the lifts at Mt. Bachelor this is something i have been asking Carson to do every summer, i can not wait! I will post pictures next week of that trip.

Addison Marie Widmer
Our beautiful baby girl arrived July 6th, 2011 weighing in at 7lbs 12oz and 20 1/2 in long. she is just perfect!!!
i had a OB check up in the early afternoon on the 6th, was dilated to a 4cm , the Dr had asked me if i just wanted to be induced, i asked if he could just break my water and not give me the drugs that are used to induce and he said yes, that was his plan. He first wanted me to go to the hospital to get a NST (non-stress test) done b/c the baby hadn't been that active, so Colton and i walked on over to labor and delivery and got me all hooked up to the monitor, i had called Carson and told him what was going on, and he rushed home. little did we know that when the dr said he would get things going and break my water it would be 5 hours later. so finally around 5:30 he came in and got me all ready and broke my water. it took about 2 hours for me to go from 4cm to 5 cm, contractions started to get pretty bad around 7ish so i got the epidural and life was great after that. the nurse came in around 9pm and wanted to check me b/c she had been watching on her monitor and she thought i had probably made some progress (she hadn't checked me since i was at 5cm, so i was teasing her saying i was still probably only a 5 and wouldnt be having the baby until the middle of the night) and when she did i was a 10 and ready to push. She had paged the Dr. and i started to push, about 30 minutes later Dr. Barstow told me to look down and see my baby and if i wanted i could pull her out, so i did. She was perfect!!! Everything about my labor and delivery was great, and i even told Carson i would do it again in a heartbeat :) We had a great experience at the hospital, the staff was so nice and caring, it was so different from when I had Colton. I am happy we made the choice to have her in Redmond rather than Bend again.
Addison is doing great nursing like a champ, sleeping pretty good at night, she gives me about 3-4 hours in between feedings so its nice to get some sleep. She hardly ever cries and if she does its only for a minute. Big brother Colton is doing great with her, he is so proud of her and watches over her. I am so blessed to have my perfect little family.
we go in on Wed for Addy's 2 week check up i will post more after that and find out how much she has gained and if she has grown any.
here are some pictures of her new baby girl

Belly Art
Well, I am still pregnant at 38 weeks (almost 39) never thought i would make it this far since i had Colton right at 37 weeks. but I am hanging in there, and i am sure that my family and friends are beyond sick of me complaining that i am ready to be done. Went to the Dr. on Monday and was 3cm and 60% effaced so hopefully it will be sooner or later.
Today, Carson had taken my car to work so Colton and I were hanging out at home having a lazy day and i surprised him with a art project (he LOVES to do crafts) and i had paint all set out and let him paint my belly. He had the biggest smile on his face and thought it was the coolest thing ever! just laughed and smiled the entire time.
Here are a few pictures of his creation.

Happy Fathers Day
I hope everyone had a Happy Fathers Day!!!
I want to wish my dad, hubby and father in law a Happy fathers day!
we spent the weekend hanging around the house, working on our sun tans :) Sunday the weather was perfect, upper 70's so after i made Carson breakfast, we all laid out in the sun. The weather has been so cold and raining , it was nice to get some vitamin D :) later in the afternoon we headed over to Carson's parents for Tacos, Carson's sister, and grandparents were there also.
I am now officially "full term" 37 weeks.... and feeling huge!!! had a check up today, i am now 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced, dr. said she is very low and it could be any time now. with my luck it will be another couple of weeks. 90% of me is so ready to be done being pregnant and meet my baby girl, but that other 10% is still in shock that we will soon have 2 kids and we will be back to changing diapers, no sleeping, taking extra long to leave the house and all that good stuff. And then i also think how Colton's world is about to be turned upside down since he has been the only child for the past 4 years, i know he will be a good big brother, but i cant help to feel bad.
Here are some pictures from Fathers Day weekend. My dad had given Colton an old bow (i think of my brothers?) and Colton LOVES to practice shooting it, Carson sets up a target and he could shoot all day long. he says he is all ready to go hunting with Daddy. So sweet.
Hopefully my next update will be news of our new arrival :) have a wonderful week!!!

baby shower
Sorry for being m.i.a. the past few weeks... things have been getting busy for us around here and i have been so tired it seems like i spend any spare minute laying down these days.
Back on the 14th of May i was given a baby shower, i had a wonderful time, it was just perfect, and even the weather held out for us. Thank you for everyone who helped make my day so special and for helping out w/ the shower... i really appreciate everyone of you!!! and Val, thank you for my new addiction to funeral potatoes, i think about them and crave them daily!!!
We are pretty much done and have everything we need for the arrival of lil Addison, now we just sit back and wait on her to be done cookin'. I am 34 weeks and this Friday will be 35, crazy to think that i had Colton at 37, so she could be here in as little as 3 weeks or as long as 6, blah... lets hope we can meet in the middle and go w/ 4 weeks :)
This weekend is Memorial weekend so it was as long weekend off of work for me, it was so nice to be able to spend the entire weekend with Colton, we had a blast playing tons of games, going to the pool (indoor since its still SO COLD) and just hanging around. i am looking forward to being able to spend that time w/ him once i am done working too.

T Minus 10 weeks!
T- Minus 10 weeks and counting!!! As of today, I am 30 weeks pregnant, only 10 weeks (hoping for less) to go! Had my 30 week check up this week with the doctor... things look great, he did a quick ultra sound to try to make sure she is still a she (for some reason my old doctor wrote in the file she was a he) however, she is already head down, ready to go and she had her back against my stomach so he couldnt get a good view, lets pray the first ultra sound was correct! Other than that everything was looking good, i was measuring right at 30 weeks, so right on track... my weight gain is well... weight gain :) up 24lbs, balh! but Dr. says i am doing great. I will now go in every 2 weeks until the middle of June then every week (if i make it that far, i didnt make it to my every week appointment with Colton). I just hope that the next 2 months fly by, we can not wait to meet our lil princess, and i can not wait to not be pregnant anymore.
We have finally decided on her name and spelling of it... she will be named Addison Marie Widmer :) we hope that you all love it as much as we do.
Colton had his 4 year check up a couple weeks ago, and as usual, he is off the charts for his weight and height... 50lbs and 44" tall. Doctor said he is doing great, he only needed 1 shot, and boy i thought that was going to be the end of his world! the nurse had told him at the first part of the appointment that he would need it... mistake #1, dont tell a 4 year old about a shot 30 minutes before its going to happen. once the doctor walked in, Colton told him that he was "allergic to shots and he could not get one" The Dr. thought that was pretty funny. By the time the appointment was over and it was time for the shot, colton was hiding behind the chair, freaking out, i am sure the entire medical clinic could hear him crying, poor guy... but mommy told him we would go get a milkshake right after and all was well :) Other than that, he is doing great.... on the days its nice out, i hardly see him in the afternoon he comes home, and goes right out to the back yard to play in the dirt, he is such a boy!!
Last weekend was Easter, we had a very busy Easter Sunday... Started off doing a little thing with the 3 of us at home, Colton, bless his heart slept in until almost 9 on Sunday, comes into our room and asks when the Easter Bunny was every going to come, he said he has been waiting for him ALL NIGHT LONG! so Carson told Colton he thought he heard him during the night, Colton went to check it out... i wish i would have gotten him on video he was SO excited to see that the Easter Bunny had left him a basket and eggs to find. :) After doing our thing, we headed over to Carsons parents for a really good brunch and more Easter fun with the cousins, then we went to my parents house for a Easter dinner.... we had a great day and had some really great food.
This weekend we are heading over to a wedding in Portland, it will be nice to get out of town for a couple of days. I'll post pictures when we get back .
