A new chapter

Lots of changes going on in the Widmer household! If you are around town and have driven by our house, I am sure that you have noticed the big yellow FOR SALE sign in the yard, yes, we are going to try sell our house. If we can sell it, we will just be renting a house for the next few years and wait for the economy to get better. We are sure we will be able to find something bigger and better and for much cheaper when we do go to buy. We also don't know where we will be living in the next 3-4 years, as Carson has decided to go back to school to get his EMT/Paramedic. He took a placement test yesterday and meets with an adviser tomorrow to see what he needs to get done and what classes to take. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that this all works out, and we are able to qualify for student aid or Grants of some sort. Its going to be a long hard road ahead, but in the end it will be worth it. We also just finally got a new laptop, I am SO excited about this. The computer we have now is a dinosaur!
We hope everyone is having a great summer, enjoy it now because i am sure it will be gone before we know it!

beach trip

Last weekend we headed over to Lincoln City for a quick get away. Carson and I went over Friday night, and got to have a little alone time and go to a nice dinner, kid free! Carson's parents met us over the next morning with Colton. We had a nice fun filled weekend trip. The weather was nice other than the wind. We spent most of the day on Saturday playing on the beach, we had a BBQ, and even roasted marshmellows and made Smores. however, due to the wind we did that on the actual BBQ rather than building a bond fire. We also got to see Carson's grandmother and great grandmother. Colton had a nice time visiting with them. Sunday, we headed over to Newport to the aquarium and to a light house, then to Depo Bay where we got to see a whale, that was pretty neat.
We had a wonderful family weekend and had a nice time seeing all Carson's family. We hope to make it back over there maybe this fall to do a crabbing trip?!

potty time!

Its been one month since Colton has been potty trained, yeppie!!!!!!!!!!! NO MORE DIAPERS!
he is such a boy, we were sitting outside eating and he decided that he wanted to pee on the fence, had to grab the camera, couldn't miss getting the little butt cheek shot! ;)
