Merry Christmas

Christmas has now come and gone, and we are just about to start the new year, boy how time goes by fast.... all this shopping, and decorating and wrapping, then the day just flies on by, its kind of sad.
Santa was good to Colton this year, pretty sure he should have built him a toy box to put all his new toys in. He got games, art things, a couple of robots, a crane, tractors, a power-wheels police motorcycle, and SO much more.
The night before Christmas Colton left Santa some cookies and milk and a few carrots for the raindeer, and the morning of Christmas he was so excited to see if Santa had eaten the cookies, he hardly notices all the gifts under the tree. This year he understood the Santa thing and was on a roll with ripping the wrapping paper off the presents in a matter of seconds, pretty sure he was done opening all his things in about 30 minutes.
After we were done with all of our gifts, we were off the Carson's parents house for a yummy brunch and more gifts, then back home for a quick nap and off to my parents house for Christmas dinner and more gifts! we were all spoiled this year that is for sure!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a fun and safe New Years!!!

only a 2 year old could say....

only could a two year old get away with asking a lady, "what's in your belly?"
We were out shopping the other day, and thats what Colton asked the lady at the store, thank goodness she was really pregnant, and not just a little over weight, and good thing she thought it was cute and funny. her reply was "a few to many cookies and maybe a little baby" kids say the darnedest things.
Carson and I really love this age, everything is so new to Colton, and i think he takes after his momma and doesnt always hold back on saying things. :)

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Nothing much new to report here in the Widmer household. we are just trying to prepare for Christmas....hard to believe its just a week away. Colton is very excited for Santa to come this year, its so much fun now that he is older and actually has a "list" for Santa. When we went to see Santa in the Mall, Colton told him that he wanted a Robot and a Crane to lift rocks with... such a boy.

I love this time of year and all of the yummy foods and baked goods to make. I thought i would post a yummy new recipe that i have been making this year....

Bon-Bons

1 pkg Oreo's
1 pkg cream cheese, at room temp

1 pkg. Almond Bark ( i use vanilla)

in a food processor crush the oreo's until they are in small crumbs, add the cream cheese, blend together until it forms a ball.
roll out 1 inch balls of mixture and place on wax paper.
Melt almond bark according to directions on package.
pour melted bark over each ball, let harden.

sooo good!! keep in container and fridge!!!
